    Video Project Editor

Combine multiple video clips into a finished project using a timeline-based workspace.

The Video Project Editor is a timeline-based workspace for combining multiple clips into a single, polished video. Use it when you have generated several clips and want to set their order, adjust timing, add audio, and export a final result.

Looking for per-clip editing tools like color grading, stabilization, or sound effects? See Clip Editor. For making characters talk, see Speak.

Go to freepik.com/pikaso/video-editor, or access it from any generated video by clicking Edit in project.

    2

    Add your clips

Import clips from your History or upload video files from your device. Clips appear in the media panel on the left.

    3

    Arrange on the timeline

Drag clips onto the timeline and arrange them in the order you want.

    4

    Add audio (optional)

Add a music track, voiceover, or sound effects to the audio track.

    5

    Export

When you are happy with the result, click Export to download your finished video.

TipGenerate your clips first in the Video Generator, then bring them together here. The Video Editor is designed for assembly and timing. For per-clip enhancements like color grading, sound effects, or stabilization, use the Clip Editor first.

    The timeline

The timeline runs horizontally across the bottom of the editor. Each clip occupies a segment on the video track. You can zoom in and out using the scroll wheel or the zoom control at the bottom right.

    ElementWhat it does
Video trackYour main clip sequence. Clips play in order from left to right.
Audio trackA separate track for background music or voiceover.
PlayheadThe vertical line showing your current position. Drag to scrub through the video.
Clip handlesDrag the left or right edge of any clip to trim it directly on the timeline.

    Adding and arranging clips

    1

    Add a clip

Click the + button on the timeline or drag a clip from the media panel into the timeline.

    2

    Reorder clips

Drag any clip left or right on the timeline to change its position in the sequence.

    3

    Add transitions

Click the transition icon between two clips to choose a transition style (cut, fade, dissolve).

    4

    Trim a clip

Drag the left or right edge of a clip on the timeline to set a new start or end point.

    5

    Delete a clip

Select the clip and press Delete or Backspace, or right-click and choose Remove.

    Audio track

You can add one audio track per project. Supported sources are an uploaded audio file (MP3 or WAV) or music generated with Freepik Audio tools.

    1

    Add audio

Click the audio track area and choose Upload audio or Use from Creations.

    2

    Adjust volume

Select the audio clip and use the volume slider in the right panel.

    3

    Trim audio

Drag the edges of the audio clip on the timeline to trim it, just like a video clip.

Audio and video lengthIf your audio is longer than your video, the video ends before the audio. If your video is longer, the audio stops and the rest plays silently. Trim both tracks to match for best results.

    Exporting your project

    1

    Click Export

When your project is ready, click the Export button in the top-right corner.

    2

    Choose resolution

Select your output resolution (720p, 1080p, or 4K if available on your plan).

    3

    Download

Once rendering is complete, the file downloads automatically and is saved to your Creations.

Exporting a project consumes AI credits based on the total duration and resolution. Check the credit cost shown before confirming.

    Tips and best practices

Edit clips before assembling. Use the Clip Editor to polish individual clips (color grading, stabilization, sound effects) before bringing them into the Video Editor. The result will be cleaner.

Use transitions sparingly. A simple cut works for most edits. Save fades and dissolves for intentional mood shifts.

Match audio and video length. Trim both tracks so they end at the same time. Mismatched lengths result in awkward silences or cut-off audio.

Name your projects. You can rename a project at any time from the header. This makes it easier to find later in your Creations.

Check credit cost before exporting. Higher resolution and longer duration cost more credits. The cost is shown on the Export button before you confirm.
